St. Anthony Gala Raises $355,000 to Bring PET CT Scanner to Rural Hospital

The St. Anthony Foundation celebrated another successful fundraising weekend as its annual St. Anthony Gala brought in more than $350,000 to support ongoing improvements at St. Anthony Regional Hospital. This year’s event, held Saturday at the Arcadia American Legion Hall, generated approximately $355,000—surpassing the total raised during the inaugural gala in 2023.
Last year’s fundraiser, hosted at the Carrollton Centre, brought in $270,000 to help launch major renovations to the hospital’s emergency department. The latest round of donations will go toward the purchase of a PET CT scanner, a significant upgrade for the rural medical center. At present, St. Anthony relies on a mobile unit that visits weekly to perform these highly sought-after diagnostic scans. Once installed, the hospital will become one of the few rural facilities in the region to house its own PET scanner.
Both the emergency department remodel and the new imaging equipment are key components of a broader, multi-year construction initiative totaling $32.6 million. Work on the project is expected to begin in December.
